I've always wondered myself, ever since they released information on the Subspace Emissary. What was the adventure mode in Super Smash Bros Brawl going to be like? So many possibilities entered my mind, questions like "How will the story exactly end", "what will happen in the middle." All of that.
Well according to Kotaku.com, my question might finally be answered.
During the latest Iwata Asks, Sakurai began telling everyone about the games single player mode (AKA The Subspace Emissary). What came as a shock was finding out that the Subspace Emissary plot was designed by the legendary Kazushige Nojima, the man responsible for writing the scenarios for Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X.
Of course, this is big news. Final Fantasy VII was one of the best games of all time, with the greatest story line I had ever seen back then. To have such a writer working on the Subspace Emissary mode means I have high hopes for this game, more than I had before. (Which was a lot).
Ok, so everyone is pretty bummed about the holdup on Brawl, its affecting people all over the world. Japan has it, they play it, whats the hold up?
Well even if we knew the holdup, the fact still remains that if and when they get this game released, Mario Kart Wii's release date will probably be held back.
Productions for Super Smash Brothers Brawl began in early 2007, leaving Mario kart Wii on hold until they were finished and ready to reveal the most anticipated game of the year. Nintendo, being as great as they are, decided to take on two productions at once, giving the ok to start the works on Mario Kart Wii.
At E3, they promised that Mario Kart would be out, 2008, first half of the year. Now, this is all fine and dandy, but as reports came in that certain fans of Brawl would not buy the game because of the decision to rid of all clones and some classic characters, they start to sweat. Holding off the release of Brawl on Dec. 3, 2008, they continue productions on Brawl to add events, and game modes.

Will Playing The Nintendo Wii Big Brain Academy Improve Your Brain Power?
The Big Brain Academy for the Nintendo wii is indeed a very fun brain-quiz. Let the younger ones raced against the adults with the 15 quick tests with the continuously increasing level of difficulty. Nine people can play together.Find yourself in the spirit by racing against each other, use your brain too!.
I cannot say that the Nintendo wii Big Brain Academy is hard to play, it has very nice bright presentation, and overall charm.Improve your mental weak points, you may even play it alone. If you're looking for a fun family game, this is the one you should go for.
Some more features of the Big Brain Academy:
There are several parts to this game:
There is a "test" covering 5 areas of mental agility:
identification, memory, analytical ability, computational ability and visualisation. Each area has three games such as identifying a fragmented picture, recognising faces, choosing the correct rotating shape, deciding whether more red or blue balls have gone into a basket, choosing the odd picture out. Each game has 4 levels of difficulty from easy through to expert, giving you a reasonable variety of play. To sit the test you go through all the games and get an overall score in "brain weight" and a grade at the end. There is also a practice section which allows you to choose to play games individually at your desired level and earn medals (bronze, silver, gold and platinum).
In addition to this part of the game there are 3 "group" games. Some you can play on your own, other games allow you to play in turn with someone else, or in a head-to-head simultaneous sprint. The fun thing about some of these sections is that new games pop up to save you from the repetition of the main 15 games.

Nintendo Wii As Therapy And Fun For Multiple Sclerosis
At first blush, you may think that the title of this article is a far stretch! You may be wondering how a video game console could possibly do ANYTHING useful for a person dealing with a degenerative disease such as MS. If you give me a chance, I will share my own experience. I'll also let you know that I am NOT a video game junkie. In fact, I have never found most gaming systems intuitive enough for me. The Wii is different, I was able to start using it out of the box. It was built that way and created to be extremely user-friendly.
The objective of this article will be to look at the Nintendo Wii gaming system and it's utility for fostering and enhancing movement, flexibility, balance, and cognition (memory, multi-tasking, etc.)
Although this lens mentions MS (because that is my own personal experience and journey) there are probably many other health conditions that could benefit from the same things. I need to mention that I am NOT a physical or occupational therapist and I am NOT trained in rehab or physical medicine. This is simply my own personal experience and observation. If you have any questions or concerns, please discuss them with your doctor.
The Wii (pronounced as the pronoun "we") is the fifth home video game console released by Nintendo. A distinguishing feature of the console is its wireless controller, the Wii Remote, which can be used as a handheld pointing device and can detect motion and rotation in three dimensions.
Who knew that exercising could be so much fun? Once you buy a Wii Gaming system, it comes packaged with Sports which is enough to get you started and getting the hang of how the remote works and feels.
While I would never purport that the Wii gaming system could be traded for a Total Gym, Treadmill or Elliptical ... I could purport that with the right combination of games, a regimen could be developed that could offer movement and exercise to both the arms and the legs.
The Nintendo Wii comes pre-packaged with the game Sports. Sports is really 5 games in 1:
1. Golf
2. Boxing
3. Baseball
4. Tennis
5. Bowling
If you can get over the "anime" type of animation and characters -- you'll do fine. The images are bright and differentiated by both color and pattern (this will accommodate someone with optic nerve damage who might have some problems with colors). The characters are easily distinguishable by patterns such as stripes versus solids.
What I love so much about Wii Sports is that it offers something called a "Fitness Test". This fitness test can be performed at different times (no more than once a day). The test uses an algorithm to look at all levels of play from coordination, speed and accuracy. During the course of a "Fitness Test" you will be given tasks from the various sports (this could be boxing, bowling and golf). Once completed, an "age" is applied to you (20 years being the youngest). Over time, you can take the fitness test and watch your results. Have you grown younger or older? Really a nice part of the game.
The movements used by players playing Wii Sports (tennis for example) do not have to be perfect and could be performed from a sitting position with some practice. In my opinion, the value of exercise and movement is better accomplished when the Sports are played in as realistic a manner as possible. That said, I am not a doctor or physical therapist -- so this should be discussed with them to find the optimal type play for you.
There are also many different games that tap into various cognitive functions such as mental tracking and short-term memory. These facets are often affected in those with MS. Trauma Center: Second Opinion requires the use of recall to accomplish current tasks. Each level " surgical operation" builds on the last and the player must remember certain procedures in sequence. This game also requires the use of various fine-motor skills to accomplish surgical tasks.
Although barely touching the surface, there is a tremendous amount of value to having a game system like the Nintendo Wii to bring fun into a rehabilitative environment. There is no reason that exercising the brain and body does not have to be a fun and exciting experience.

Finding The Best Wii Sales
Are you one of those that is still frantically searching to buy your Wii? The phenomenal growth of Nintendo's Wii has seen a surge in gamer interaction play like at no other time. But, many people have found how difficult it was to find one for sale, especially around Christmas time. There are still reports that the Wii is still in very short supply.
So the question is,"Where can I find Wii Sales that are in stock?"
First, let me give you a little insight about the Wii that not many people are aware of. Where did the name "Wii" come from? Well, Nintendo decided to market the home game console outside of Japan without the company name featured in its trademark. The name Nintendo does not appear on the console. The "W" in Wii stands for Worldwide and the "ii" characters is meant to resemble two people standing side by side, representing players gathering together as well as to represent the console's controllers. So, Nintendo chose the name Wii because it sounds like "We" which emphasizes that the game console is for everyone and is easy to remember.
Okay, now where to find the best Wii Sales?
As we have talked about in the above, the Wii is still in short supply. Finding one in stock at any brick and mortar store is still a pretty difficult challenge. There are many places online that you can find Wii's on sale. Many of these however are used and when people realized how much in demand they are and the short supply, they have taken their Wii, played with it awhile and then put them up for sale because Wii still demands a premium on the market. In other words, they can use it for a while and then sell it for a much higher price that they payed for it and make a profit.
We have found resources where one can find Wii sales that offer brand new, bundled with many extras and full manufacturer warranties. Some of these Wii systems are bundled with up to 15 extra games, controllers, safety jackets and more. And they are selling through a very well respected source on the net. So finding Wii sales is not that difficult. You just have to do some research and I am sure you can find what you need.

Buy Nintendo Wii Online - 3 Cheapest Places To Buy The Wii
Regardless if it is a special occasion, or the holiday season, if you are looking to buy an online video game console, there are a few things you should know before making your purchase. Most of the best deals of the year are typically right after Thanksgiving, however that does not mean that you cannot find a great deal on any Nintendo product at any time of year. Here are three of the cheapest places that you will find you buy the Nintendo Wii online.
The first place that you should look is on the most popular online auctions in the world. Many have a global presence which allows participants to sell new and used merchandise 24 hours a day. Many times, if you do your due diligence, you will be able to find a great deal on almost anything including the Nintendo Wii. The best place to look is to start with the search engine that is built in and search for all of the auctions that are closing soon. There you will see if you can get a deal today without wasting your time on watching auctions for several days.
The second place that you can get a great deal buying it is to search the large super online stores or marketplaces. Although you may not find a great deal on the store itself, there are many people that sell their used merchandise and offer it for sometimes more than 50% off of retail. Mind you, these consoles have been used and may have some wear and tear. The point is that you are getting a great deal for the exact product you are looking for.
The third-place to look for a great deal on the Nintendo Wii is to search the many search engines and look at the results that come up. Although most of the merchandise sold on the right side is from a retailer, sometimes you will find a great deal in the natural part of the search engine on the left. By scrolling down two or three pages, you may come across a wonderful deal.
One other place that should be mentioned is looking at online classifieds. Most of the people offering their merchandise will the leading it go for sometimes 75% off. These classifieds can put you in touch with eager sellers that are willing to take the last for a product that you really want including the many Nintendo systems.
By taking your time to look at these three different areas, you will more than likely find a place that will sell you what you are looking for at the price that you want. Before you buy Nintendo Wii online, make sure it has everything you are looking for and is coming from a reputable source and hopefully a dignified seller.

Nintendo Wii Mod Chip - A Review And Comparison Of Wii Modchips
The Nintendo Wii has just barely hit retail stores, and already the homebrew scene is fast at work. Creating not only killer applications and homebrew games, but also developing (or at least helping develop) the worlds first Nintendo Wii mod chip(s). In this article I am going to discuss Nintendo Wii Mod Chips and give some of the features, pros and cons of the 3 different Nintendo Wii Mod Chips that have just recently been released.
The good news for Nintendo Wii gamers is that regardless of which Nintendo Wii mod chip you buy - you'll have all the basics with each one. You will be able to play all Nintendo Wii Backup games (on DVD-R or DVD+R discs) and can use 8cm or 12cm DVD discs. You will also be able to play all Gamecube Backup games, import games as well as Gamecube Homebrew games. It really gets down to installation of the Nintendo Wii Mod chip and the features and functions, and future upgrade options of each Wii mod chip.
What is even more surprising with these new Nintendo Wii Mod chips is the prices that they're being sold for. I remember quite clearly the days of the very first Playstation 2 mod chips, costing in excess of $90.00 US Dollars. It seems the Wii chips have opted instead for a lower entry price, in an effort to gain a greater piece of the Homebrew / Development / Modchip market. The prices range anywhere from $44.00 to just over $50.00, depending on the chip you decide to buy.
At present, there are actually 3 different Nintendo Wii Mod chips which will hit the market and online stores within the next week or so. While many online news sources seem to focus on just 2 of the 3 mod chips, perhaps because they're unaware that there is a third chip in the making, I'm going to cover all 3 of the mod chips in the hopes of enabling you, the gamer, to make the buying decision that's right for you. And after reading this article, I honestly believe that your decision will be based solely on price, and perhaps the option of an upgrade (or lack of) for the Wii Mod Chips.
Wiinja Nintendo Wii Mod Chip The Wiinja Nintendo Wii Mod chip was actually the very first Wii chip to hit the market. While many online news sources seem to disregard this chip, it is still the very first and one of the easiest mod chips to install for the Nintendo Wii. Like the other mod chips for the Wii, the Wiinja will enable you to play all Wii and Gamecube Backup games, as well as Wii Import backup games, and original import games with just a single swap. Gamecube Import and Homebrew games are fully supported. While the other mod chips promise that their modchips, in time, will have their own custom OS to enable additional features, the Wiinja chip does not make this claim. In fact, they have stated that their chip is not meant to be upgraded. Stealth mode is still built in, even into this mod chip, and whether or not the lack of an upgrade feature is a deterrent is entirely up to you, the user. Often times many modchip manufacturers claim upgrade features, but then they lack the support for the upgrades, which tend to come out very rarely, if ever at all.
WiiKey Nintendo Wii Modchip The manufacturer hype states the following: Unlock your Nintendo Wii with the worlds first truly upgradeable Nintendo Wii Mod Chip. The WiiKey for Nintendo Wii is made by the famous xenoGC team, responsible for the xenoGC Gamecube line of mod chips, and now, with their WiiKey, Wii owners can enjoy all the benefits of a team of great developers with a truly upgradeable Nintendo Wii Mod chip. The WiiKey comes ready to use, and offers an almost wireless installation. When they say almost wireless, what this essentially means is that there are Quick Solder pads for the chip. This method enables you, the gamer, to simply position the chip in the correct place on the Mother board of the Wii, in order to then apply a little bit of solder with a soldering iron. The WiiKey chip does however also require that you solder 4 wires to the specified places on the Wii motherboard. The WiiKey mod chip was the first chip that boasted full upgradeability through DVD-R discs to which you can burn / backup the new firmware updates, put The DVD in to your Nintendo Wii, and it will run and update the chip. Once again, the WiiKey also supports loading of both Wii and Gamecube backup games and import backup games. Original import games can be played as well, with a simple, single swap methos. Gamecube Homebrew games are also supported. Whether or not this mod chip will end up with it's own custom OS is something we'll just have to take a wait and see approach with. However, it offers everything you want, for a VERY reasonable price.
And finally, the last Nintendo Wii mod chip (often claimed to be the very FIRST Nintendo Wii Modchip) is the only chip in this round up that actually does not require any wires at all.
CycloWiz Nintendo Wii Mod Chips The major advatange, or selling feature of the CycloWiz Nintendo Wii mod chip is in how it's installed. Unlike the other 2 mod chips in this round up, the CycloWiz actually does not require you to solder any wires to the Wii mainboard. In fact, much like the WiiKey, you'll simply use Quick Solder pads which are strategically placed in the design of the CycloWiz to enable you to simply position the chip on the Nintendo Wii Mainboard, and gently put some solder onto the points. This will make the required connections, and the chip will simply be installed, with absolutely no need figure out where wires are to be soldered or whether or not you've got the right type of wires, etc... The CycloWiz is also a fully upgradeable modchip, with promised firmware updates for the chip from the manufacturer. Again, I want to stress that firmware updates may not at all be required and perhaps may not come for some time. I myself do however like the idea that the chip will not be outdated should some new function or requirement become the norm.
To sum it all up, all of the Nintendo Wii Mod chips boast the features below. The only exception to this is the upgrade feature which is NOT available on the Wiinja chip. Take a look at the features, and decide for yourself which Wii mod Chip is right for you.
# Fully upgradeable via DVD/disc (future proof, expect cool features to come)
# Direct boot of Wii backups (like originals)
# Direct boot of GC backups (like originals)
# Boots different region GC games/backups
# Boots different NTSC region Wii games/backups
# Supports multi-disc games
# Supports DVD-R and DVD+R
# Built-in audio fix (for games using streaming audio)
# Works in all Nintendo Wii consoles World Wide - USA, Pal and Japanese versions!
Now it's up to you to decide which Nintendo Wii mod Chip is right for you.
